I really would love to see Laura win, but I really feel Juliane Moore should be the winner . I haven't seen her in The English Teacher obviously , but she is such a great actress, was unfairly snubbed for BOTH A Single Man and for The Kids Are All Right, and was robbed of Oscars for Boogie Nights and for Far From Heaven!!!!
Please, Oscar award Julianne this year! Even if her performance is lacking, I don't care, because a career award is justified for HER!!!!
I'm hoping for a win from Laura, but I'm also glad that Helen's back. I'd love to see Maggie on the podium for Quartet but another #3 won't happen in that category for a while. But I'm pulling for a nomination.
Julianne doesn't have muh chance of winning this year, I think. She has to make do with an Emmy for the time being.
A little off topic, but what did you think of this year's Sight & Sound result? You must have been at least a little pleased to see Kane get knocked off its pedestal at last.

I'm just burned out on it all - I am excited that Helen and Laura Linney have legitimate shots this year.

Julianne is TO DIE FOR in Game Change. Woman can do no wrong. Too bad it wasn't released into theaters.
